Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Herning (Denmark). Herning Turist has received a new S 517 HDH. It is the first Setra TopClass coach in Denmark to carry the brand’s new family face. After comprehensive facelift, elements including a three-dimensional brand lettering in chrome on a glossy black background characterize the next generation of Setra coaches.

The new Active Drive Assist 2 feature is on board the three-axle vehicle, which is used for tours throughout Europe. The system keeps the vehicle in lane at a set position, using continual steering interventions.

The handover at the brand’s Neu-Ulm customer center had a very special flair. The father of the company's CEOs, Aage Gasbjerg, still an active driver himself, was surprised with the handover of the Setra coach during a factory visit. The vehicle had been secretly ordered by his sons Ronny and Rune who run the family business (founded in 1980) from Herning, Denmark. With the S 517 HDH, the family embarked on the 1,000-kilometer journey home – indeed with Aage Gasbjerg at the wheel, who noted that “new driving assistants and brake systems make the driver’s work so much easier. I look forward to my first tours with customers on this coach.”
