The start of series production of our eActros 600 is a further proof of our ambition to transform the industry. With a range of 500 kilometers on a single battery charge, our eActros 600 is addressing the long-haul segment in Europe which is responsible for two-thirds of CO2 emissions from heavy road freight. Our battery-electric long-haul truck will therefore make a real difference.

Daimler Truck celebrates series launch of the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 for long-distance haulage in Wörth

he electrification of the product range at Daimler Truck is progressing: The company today celebrated the series launch of the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 for long-distance haulage at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth. The start was made in the presence of Karin Rådström, CEO of Daimler Truck, and Daniela Schmitt, State Minister for Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate as well as Jürgen Distl, Head of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Operations, Andreas Bachhofer, Head of the Wörth site and Production at Mercedes-Benz Trucks, and Michael Brecht, Chairman of the Group and General Works Council of Daimler Truck.

Award for apprentices at Daimler Truck: “Jochen Götz Award” presented for the first time to outstanding young talents

This year, the “Jochen Götz Award” was presented for the first time to three apprentices at Daimler Truck who have distinguished themselves during their vocational training period through their outstanding personal commitment and exemplary teamwork. The award ceremony took place on November 18 as part of a festive event at the Unimog Museum in Gaggenau, Germany.

Daimler Truck Powertrain plants: start of production of key components for series production of the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600

Mercedes-Benz Trucks will celebrate the start of series production of the eActros 600 on November 22 of this year at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth. The eActros 600 was recently selected as “International Truck of the Year 2025” at the IAA-Transportation in Hannover. The first eActros 600 customer vehicles will be manufactured and registered before the end of 2024. In each vehicle, central components from the Mercedes-Benz plants in Gaggenau, Kassel and Mannheim will be installed.

Daimler Truck receives funding for fuel cell trucks from German federal and state governments

The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) and the federal states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate approve funding totaling € 226 million for the development, small-series production and customer deployment (operation and maintenance) of 100 fuel cell trucks. The application had been subject to extensive review, also by the European Commission.

70,000 Citaro buses from Mercedes-Benz – the all-electric eCitaro anniversary bus is on the road in the Netherlands

Record anniversary for the Citaro low-floor bus: Since its premiere in 1997, 70,000 units of the most successful bus in the history of Daimler Buses have rolled off the production line. During the Daimler Buses eMobility Days 2.0 in Berlin, Till Oberwörder, CEO Daimler Buses, and Mirko Sgodda, Head of Marketing, Sales and Customer Services Daimler Buses, presented the symbolic key to the anniversary bus, an all-electric eCitaro, celebrating with Karen Bosch, COO at HTM Personenvervoer N.V., The Hague, Netherlands.
