Portland USA/Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany - Employees at the headquarters of Daimler Truck AG (“Daimler Truck”) were delighted to welcome a very special visitor group at their campus in Leinfelden-Echterdingen: a delegation from the Carolina Panthers NFL team. On their “Keep Pounding” Germany tour, the American football players and their team are traveling in a Mercedes-Benz Travego bus. Daimler Truck North America ("DTNA") has been a sponsoring partner of the Carolina Panthers since 2017 and will continue to support the American football team in the upcoming NFL season. On November 10th, the Carolina Panthers will play against the New York Giants at the Allianz Arena in Munich.  

Hundreds of employees stopped by the piazza in front of the Daimler Truck Campus, the company's headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, to see the American football stars and get autographs. Panthers players Sam Franklin Jr., #42 (safety) and Ikem Ekwonu,#79 (left tackle), cheerleaders and mascot "Sir Purr" stopped in Leinfelden-Echterdingen on their tour and took time for photos and interaction with the Daimler Truck employees.  

John O'Leary, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck and responsible for the North America region, including the Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, and Thomas Built Buses brands, personally welcomed the Carolina Panthers in front of their tour bus. “We’ve had a great partnership with the Panthers since 2017.  Even though our final products look very different, we are both backed by phenomenal teams that show up to work every day to ‘Keep Pounding’ for what we believe in. It’s going to be a great game in Munich later this fall.” 

Daimler Truck North America und die Carolina Panthers 

Daimler Truck North America ("DTNA") has had a partnership with the Carolina Panthers since 2017. The American football team from Charlotte in North Carolina has been playing in the NFL (NFC South Division) since1995. With its locations in North Carolina and South Carolina, DTNA has over 7,000 employees in the region, many of whom are enthusiastic fans of the Carolina Panthers. In addition to generating awareness for the brand, the partnership is focused on employee activation and joint participation in local community initiatives. DTNA and the Panthers have been successfully partnering for many years and positively impacting the communities where employees work and live. Last year, for example, Carolina Panthers fans and DTNA employees donated gifts to families in need during the Daimler Truck North America Toy Drive in December.
