Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Mercedes-Benz Trucks has received significant industry awards for its marketing campaign on the battery-electric e-truck eActros LongHaul for long-distance transport. The music video "The Sound of Tomorrow" won over the jurors both at the renowned Art Directors Club (ADC) competition 2023 for communication and design achievements and at the Best of Business to Business (BoB) competition organized by the Federal Association of Marketing Clubs. The award-winning music video was composed exclusively for the eActros LongHaul, partly with real vehicle sounds.
The eActros LongHaul as a concept prototype was presented for the first time at the IAA Transportation 2022. The electric truck is planned to be ready for series production in 2024 as the eActros 600 and will have a range of around 500 km without intermediate charging.
