Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Langquaid. Bus company Reise- und Bustouristik Schmid GmbH & Co. KG is marking its 75th anniversary with a new S 415 LE business.

The new low-entry, handicapped accessible vehicle of the Setra MultiClass is powered by an OM 936 six-cylinder in-line engine with 260 kW (354 hp) coupled with the ZF Ecolife 2 six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This inter-city bus provides seating for 45 passengers. A folding ramp provides easy access for wheelchair users and people with strollers.

Equipped with Sideguard Assist, this vehicle will be used on behalf of the transport groups Regensburger Verkehrsverbund (RVV) and Verkehrsgemeinschaft Landkreis Kelheim VLK).

Schmid GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1948 by Johann Schmid, and this company in Langquaid, Lower Bavaria has a total of six Setra buses in its fleet. In addition to its scheduled service, this third-generation family company run by Manfred Schmid also offers its own travel program of tours throughout Europe.
