Trucks Asia reflects the business operations of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) based in Japan. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation also manufactures industrial engines. In May 2023, Daimler Truck, MFTBC, Hino Motors, and Toyota Motor Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding to accelerate the development of advanced technologies and to merge Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino Motors. Negotiations to conclude final contracts are ongoing.
