Stuttgart / Laupheim. Süddeutsche Verkehrslinien GmbH & Co. KG from Laupheim has taken seven new Setra low entry vehicles of the type S 415 LE business into service. This is the largest delivery of Setra vehicles to date to the Swabian company, which was founded in 2001. After winning four new route bundles, the two-axle vehicles will be used on public transport routes in the Alb-Donau district. In total, the company, in which the Reinalter and Bottenschein families hold shares, has ordered 30 vehicles from Daimler Buses for the years 2022 and 2023.
The vehicles are equipped with level floors, 47 seats each, and tactile stop bars that provide visually impaired people with orientation in the interior. Among other things, the S 415 LE business will also serve the new Merklingen station, a regional stop opened in December on the new ICE line between Ulm and Wendlingen.
