Attractive design, comfort-oriented passenger compartment

Understated and yet unmistakably a Mercedes-Benz, this is how the Tourrider Business presents itself. It does without chrome decoration; to be rather than to seem is its motto. But it wears a distinctive coach face with centrally-placed star. The closed rear end with slatted look is both dynamic and an homage to North American muscle cars of yesteryear as well. With lower-mounted exterior mirrors, the coach adopts another American style element.

Sporty accents also characterize the passenger compartment. The comfortable Travel Star Eco seating captivates with its combination of red and black components. Seat and backrest surfaces bear a lively check pattern; the backrest also features the Mercedes star. The ambient lighting, controlled by the driver creates the right lighting mood. Powerful air conditioning, five monitors, sockets for electronic equipment – such is modern and comfortable motorcoach travel. Thanks to the ADA lift with which it is equipped, limited mobility passengers can enjoy this as well.

Dynamic cockpit, powerful and frugal drive system

The Cockpit Basic Plus virtually nestles around the driver - this is what an ergonomically perfect and dynamically functional workplace looks like. Numerous stowage compartments accommodate the driver's utensils. The powertrain is composed of units that have proven themselves many times over, a combination that is as powerful as it is economical: There's the exclusive Mercedes-Benz OM 471 inline six-cylinder engine, along with an Allison automatic transmission and the lightweight, quiet and dependable Mercedes‑Benz RO 440 rear axle. With its surprising driving dynamics thanks to an actively steered rear axle with independent suspension and the surprisingly small turning circle, this motorcoach is a model of maneuverability.

Comprehensive safety equipment

Does an economically priced coach mean second-class safety? Not for Mercedes-Benz: All currently available safety and assistance systems are also available in the Tourrider Business.
