- Sophisticated equipment for short and long trips
- Safer than ever with new assistance systems
- Appearance discreetly and effectively enhanced
It is the versatile travelling giant: the Setra TopClass S 531 DT double-decker touring coach covers an enormous range from a functional long-distance regular-service bus to an individually designed bistro touring coach. At Busworld Europe 2023 in Brussels, it will be leading the way with sophisticated equipment for traditional trips and journeys, supplemented by pioneering new assistance and safety systems as well as a subtle, refreshed look. Among other things, this is defined by the MirrorCam, which now optionally replaces the integral mirrors invented by Setra.
Sophisticated equipment for short and long trips
Tinted windows and light-alloy wheels on the outside, and on the inside a step unit behind the driver's workplace, an extensively equipped galley kitchen and sophisticatedly designed and comfortable seating – this Setra was made to travel. Wood-finish flooring, Setra Voyage Plus seats with Composition covers in iron grey, Evogrey light and head restraints in orange as well as curtains in the same colour, a glass roof above the upper deck – these are all features that create a pleasant atmosphere.
Safer than ever with new assistance systems
Passengers also feel particularly safe on board of the mighty touring coach. A wealth of new safety and assistance systems contribute to this: the Active Brake Assist 6 emergency braking assistant, Frontguard Assist, Sideguard Assist 2, which now operates on both sides, and other systems make travelling in touring coaches safer than ever before. At the same time, these systems support drivers in their work involving a significant responsibility.
Drivers also benefit from the new Traffic Sign Assist and, especially in the double-decker touring coach with its impressive dimensions, from the 360° camera system and the new MirrorCam instead of conventional integral mirrors.
Appearance discreetly and effectively enhanced
Attentive observers will discover a visual enhancement of the mighty Setra, with features that are as subtle as they are efficient. For example, the new face of the Setra brand featuring a high-gloss black front panel, framed in inserted chrome trims with the three-dimensional brand lettering, the round brand badge, new and even brighter LED headlamps as well as the full-LED element, which combines the turn signals, daytime running lights and perimeter light like a "light strip" in a glossy insert. Added to this is the three-dimensional character element on the side and new rear lamps. Together with the warm and eye-catching honey yellow metallic paintwork, it creates an unmistakable appearance – not only thanks to the sheer size of the Setra.
