- Setra MultiClass LE– a fully-fledged city bus
- Functional and comfortable equipment including cockpit
- Consistently geared towards cost-effectiveness
What are you aiming to provide? Intercity services, school bus operations or works transport? Or even regular, scheduled service? This new model of the MultiClass LE is now classified as a class 1 line bus for the first time and is eligible for registration as such. This makes the vehicle ideally suited as a functional and economical alternative to conventional low-floor buses for urban and suburban transport – this becomes evident from a look at the exhibition vehicle at Busworld Europe 2023.
Setra MultiClass LE – a fully-fledged city bus
Come in: low-floor front section, low-profile city bus tyres, kneeling towards the door side, double-width inward-swinging doors and manual folding ramps at both doors – it could hardly be more convenient. The fully-fledged city bus equipment represents fast passenger flow rates.
Functional and comfortable equipment including cockpit
Practically-oriented also on the inside: wood-finish flooring, smooth side wall panelling, Setra Passage cantilever-style city bus seats produced in-house with "Crisp Amarena" fabric upholstery and with no obstructive platforms – making the vehicle easy to look after while at the same time making it comfortable on short city bus routes. For longer journeys, the twin USB sockets in the side wall of each twin seat for charging smartphones can come in handy.
Double-glazed side windows ensure good visibility and, with their insulating effect, they support the effect of the EvoCool light Basic roof-mounted air-conditioning system. Electrically operated roof hatches support ventilation.
Cockpit City meets the requirements of the VDV (German Association of Transport Operators). The 360° camera system, electronic parking brake and a rain/light sensor support the drivers in demanding urban traffic.
Consistently geared towards cost-effectiveness
The exhibition vehicle is designed for maximum economic efficiency. This is guaranteed by the hybrid system and the recuperation module as well as the proven low-emission six-cylinder in-line engine, the new, seven-speed Voith Diwa NXT automatic transmission with torque converter and hypoid drive axle. The on-board electrical system management with intelligent battery sensor saves fuel as does the Tyre Pressure Monitoring system (TPM). Outside mirrors mounted on tubular frames reduce repair costs.
