ComfortClass – this designation accurately describes Setra high-deckers. The versatile, two-axle Setra S 515 HD, with a length of around twelve metres, is the backbone of sophisticated touring coach fleets. Introduced a year ago, it has now become even safer thanks to new assistance systems and is even more functional as a result of additional features.

Appealing: stylish and comfortable interior

Softly shimmering honey yellow metallic paintwork on the outside. Inside there are Setra Voyage Plus seats with backrest, seat and back surfaces in black and gold Matao fabric, head restraints in Cognac Composition, as well as cognac side wall panelling lining and undersides of the luggage racks. All these features are paired with yellow curtains. That's what we call stylish and appealing, warm and homely.

In addition to the usual equipment features such as galley kitchen and WC, there is also the new Coach Infotainment series multimedia system, large monitors in HD quality and a power supply for end devices with both USB and 230-volt sockets. Just the way to travel in style.

Safe: exemplary new and evolved assistance systems

The new Active Brake Assist 6 emergency braking assistant is even more capable. Sideguard Assist 2 reacts to and outputs even more accurate warnings if there is a risk of collision with pedestrians and cyclists – now also on the driver's side. At low speeds, the new Frontguard Assist warns of obstacles or persons directly in front of the vehicle.

Functional: cockpit with new components

Drivers benefit from the new MirrorCam instead of the conventional outside mirrors. The MirrorCam system offers a larger field of vision on its screens mounted on the inside of the A‑pillars and also a brighter field of vision at night. It further improves the already excellent aerodynamics, thus further reducing fuel consumption – as does the now standard lowering of the body feature at motorway speeds, too.

Paired with Predictive Powertrain Control, Active Drive Assist 2 represents the introduction to automated driving. Traffic Sign Assist warns of speeding. The 360° camera system provides a perfect all-round view, while the surround lighting helps when reversing at night. The drive system is just as superior as the assistance and safety systems: powerful acceleration is ensured by an engine output of 315 kW (428 hp) and a fully automated transmission.
