Setra – the name has been the epitome of premium coaches for over seven decades. The next generation of Setra ComfortClass stands for a versatile bus concept that meets the highest requirements in economy, safety and flexibility. The HD models of the ComfortClass stand out with their wide range of variants. They can be used to perfectly implement almost any business model. The exciting design and the latest assistance systems make the next generation of Setra ComfortClass the flagship of any fleet.

The next generation of the ComfortClass also shows the new face of the Setra brand family. Quintessential Setra: While the design noticeably sets itself apart from the previous models from every angle, it does so without making them look outdated and less appealing. It stands for evolution, not revolution. Just as characteristic of the premium brand: While design always holds a high priority at Setra, the subtle changes in appearance also offer practical advantages.

The new face of the Setra family: Form and function in perfect unison

Premium brands such as Setra are characterised by a level of recognition – whether it's across generations or within the model lineup. The new face of the Setra family face is an outstanding example of this – form and function meet elements of design characteristic of the brand. The brand logo is intricately crafted in three-dimensional chrome, giving it the appearance of floating on its glossy black background. An advantage of the dark background is that it discreetly conceals the radar technology for assistance systems, rendering the previously clearly visible section almost unnoticeable. Two silver trims frame the dark area with the brand logo, resembling a piece of jewellery. A Kässbohrer brand badge now confidently highlights the origin and long-standing tradition of the Setra brand.

Sophisticated: The curved trims transition into a full LED lighting element on the sides. This fibre-optic cable combines the turn signals, daytime running lights and perimeter light. A Setra is not only elegant, but always practical as well: The lighting elements are identical on the left and right sides, the experts call it a convertible component. This facilitates spare parts management and makes it easier to replace in case a switch is necessary due to a collision in the tough day-to-day life of a coach. Beneath the lighting elements, new and even more powerful LED headlights (ComfortClass option) with their technical design resembling theatre spotlights, also create visual accents. The same goes for its housing in black chrome. Here, too, sharp observers will notice the Setra brand lettering.

Altogether, this creates a distinctive and cohesive brand face, harmonious and self-assured at the same time. Whether in the rear-view mirror of the vehicle ahead or when the coach approaches a waiting tour group – you won't miss the Setra.

A Setra has character – and a new characteristic element to match

A Setra has many beautiful sides and character – that's why it now features a new character element on both the left and the right. The prominently positioned and three-dimensionally designed emblem, along with the three-dimensional Setra brand logo, serves as a distinctive identifying feature. It has a silver finish in the Setra ComfortClass.

The new tail lamps

Insiders playfully refer to them as "ant trails": This refers to the unmistakable dotted graphic of the Setra tail lamps. In the next generation, the silver 'ant trails' transform into bold, continuous stripes – the "ant trails" are turned into "ant highways". Sharp observers will notice the Setra brand lettering in the tail lamp. This not only serves as a statement but also as a measure against product piracy. The branding lines are illuminated by an internal LED strip within the lighting element.

These new design features signify a significant evolution and modernisation while maintaining a connection to the successful past. They apply to the ComfortClass, TopClass, and double-decker bus models alike. The only difference: In the new brand face of the top-tier Setra model, the tried-and-tested turn signal, without daytime running light and position light, is still incorporated in orange, as before.
