Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Willich – Bus/touring coach operator Brings Reisen has taken over the first two, further developed Mercedes-Benz Tourismo high-deckers. The Tourismo L touring coaches, with a length of around 14 metres, are unmistakable thanks to their size and appearance. The vehicles also boast carefully configured furnishings.
New LED headlamps and new multimedia system
On the outside, the new, bright and durable full-LED headlamps for dipped and main beam with new light signature in the shape of a curved light rod for daytime running lamps and turn signal indicator lamps. On the inside, with the new Coach Infotainment series multimedia system featuring the latest generation of media applications for professional use in touring coaches, Brings Reisen relies on state-of-the-art technology for its two new Tourismo L touring coaches.
Striking appearance, extensive safety equipment and comfort furnishings
The impressive three-axle high-deckers, with a length of around 14 metres, are already visual flagships of the fleet. The distinctive corporate appearance is unmistakable with the bright paintwork including add-on parts in “traffic red” as well as the dark Privacy tinted glass, the striking company lettering and the stylised outlines of skylines and travel destinations.
The vehicle interior has been perfectly coordinated to match the paintwork: 57 Travel Star Eco passenger seats manufactured in-house with comfortable Softline upholstery are distinguished by black seats and backrests with “Mars red” piping as well as headrests in the same colour made from Composition leather fibre material. The Mercedes star in the backrest reminds passengers of the origin of their touring coach. In conjunction with the new Coach Infotainment series multimedia system, there are two large monitors with a screen diagonal of 21.5 inches (54.4 cm) and a brilliant image in full HD quality. One illuminated, twin USB port in the side wall per twin seat supplies passengers’ devices with energy. The galley kitchen and no less than two refrigerators ensure passengers and staff have food and beverages on board
Drivers are assisted by a 360° camera system and numerous assistance systems. The drive system is based on the Mercedes-Benz OM 470 inline six-cylinder. With a displacement of 10.7 litres, it delivers 335 kW (456 hp), as befits its status. The output is transferred by the fully automated Mercedes-Benz GO-250-8 PowerShift bus transmission. Already efficient in terms of fuel consumption and low in emissions in accordance with Euro VI E, automatic body lowering at higher speeds, the intelligent Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) anticipatory cruise control, the TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring) system, on-board electrical system management with intelligent battery sensor and, last but not least, Driver Score driving style assessment mean consumption and emissions are further reduced.
